AmeriCares Homefront Project fundraiser with matching funds from Thrivent Financial “Care in Communities”
My Sister’s Place Thrift Shop collection of clothing and household items to Birmingham Group Health Services’ The Umbrella with their work with victims of domestic violence.
"Christmas in July” collection to provide items needed by residents of the Spooner House.
“Back to School Child Adoption” congregation members provide back to school clothes and school supplies to our “adopted” child through The Umbrella Project at Birmingham Group Health Services.
Thrivent “Care in Congregations” fundraisers to benefit projects within Immanuel’s congregation.
“Team Immanuel” raises funds and participates in Walks to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child – collection of shoe boxes filled with gifts to be distributed to children in countries overseas.
Salvation Army “Adopt-a-Family” for Christmas - providing gifts and goodies for a the family from our Valley area.
Christmas donation of toys, hats, gloves and mittens to benefit The Umbrella Project through Birmingham Health Services.
Spooner House monthly dinners on the 4th Tuesday of each month. The dinners are prepared in the church kitchen in the afternoon and delivered to Spooner House at dinner time - we provide a full meal for 36 people to insure that people have a hot meal.
Red Cross Blood Drive – will be co-sponsoring blood drive in Fall of 2005.
